POSITION: Junior LAN Administrator

Cox, Merritt & Co. LLP is a locally owned and operated public accounting firm located in Kanata that has a 30+ year reputation for excellence in client service and quality. As the demand for exceptional service grows, so does our need for capable employees to join our team, specifically a Junior LAN Administrator. The ideal candidate is someone who has recently graduated and/or has less than 2 years experience.

Reporting to the Business Manager, you will provide software and hardware maintenance to all staff, as well as being highly organized; results oriented and, provide high levels of service and support to all.

Key responsibilities in this position include, but not limited to:

• Responsible for managing the firm’s overall internal IT architecture, including but not limited to:
• Day-to-day management of the firm’s information systems, including databases, O/S, technical support and PC maintenance;
• Provide basic LAN support including, internet access, virus protection, etc.

Qualifications:

• Must have good working knowledge of:
• Microsoft Office, Outlook and O/S ( including Vista and XP)
• Knowledge and/or experience of the following would be considered an asset:
• Microsoft Small Business Server
• Citrix VPN
• QuickBooks and Simply Accounting software
• CCH Tax and Accounting products
• Excellent time management skills in order to deal with multiple priorities
• Must have access to a vehicle and have a good driving record
• Must have a college or university degree in Information Systems.
